Educators from across Kentucky gathered in downtown Lexington last week for the 2025 Continuous Improvement Summit, hosted at the Central Bank Center. The Kentucky Department of Education presented 13 awards for “Best Practices,” celebrating schools and districts that are sparking curiosity, improving instruction, and strengthening student success.
Among the honorees was Bryan Station Middle School right here in Fayette County, recognized for its work addressing the multifaceted needs of English language learners. Lexington families can take pride in seeing a local school on the statewide stage, especially in a city known for its growing and diverse student population.
Other awardees included schools and districts that tackled challenges from math instruction to school culture, demonstrating that innovation is alive and well in Kentucky classrooms. Each winner received a $500 check to support continued improvement.
